- Josue Ortiz: Let me start by saying the translation was completely wrong, that is NOT what Canelo said. 2nd, boxing is a sport controlled by the promoters, even if Canelo was to fight Lemieux or Brook for that matter which I do believe are the men he should face 1st to see if he can withstand 160 pound real power, still those bouts I believe would be rigged, a lot would be at stake if Brooks or Lemieux don't get a higher amount of money. And some would say Brooks is not a 160 pounder, and you are wrong the guy is a 160 pounder, that it would be convenient for him to stay at 154 , no doubt, but he is a 160, he looked really good againts GGG even when the fight was stopped, and it did needed to be stopped he was getting hit too much and no matter your condition you need to think about the future, but he did things I think no one had done before. Again, if it's with Lemieux I would say De La Hoya probably will offer an undisclosed under the table amount so that Canelo looks good, after all David is not as well known or liked for that matter and a few extra millions don't hurt anyones pride. If it's Brooks an even higher amount and let's hope Brooks does not allow himself to be bought. Now facing GGG would not be as difficult as a lot of people might think, Canelo has great boxing speed, movement, agility and punching power. That no body has hit him as hard as GGG does, well that is true, GGG is a monster a lot of men who have faced him say. He hits like very few in boxing history. On the other hand GGG has some problems with his defense, I don't know if it's because he does not know or trains to cover well, or if it's that he really doesn't get hurt at all, I believe he has not been hit as hard for which he has no fear of something that at the same time is totally unknown to him which is dangerous, reckless and pointless, but that is between him and Abel. I believe Canelo has some advantages, but in terms of power I would say GGG has more.
